[ Summary ] Recently, therapy for Crohn's disease (CD) has advanced. It has come to include anti tumor necrosis factor-alpha antibodies (biologics). However, we still require additional therapeutic strategies for our CD patient who are refractory to these treatments. In this report, we summarize the clinical efficacy of unique granulocyte and monocyte adsorption (GMA), which has recently been introduced as a therapeutic option for refractory colitis CD patients in Japan. GMA is expected to achieve both remission induction and maintenance through applying it alone or concomitant administration with other interventions, in 256 cluding biologics.
