[ Summary ] | Ischemic colitis usually occurres in elderly persons with arteriosclerosis. However, it may be induced by laxatives used for constipation or colorectal examinations. On the other hand, it is rarely induced by contraceptives. Idiopathic mesenteric phlebosclerosis is a rare disease. The pathogenesis of this condition is unclear at this time. However, its association with Chinese drugs has recently been reported. |
