[ Summary ] Means for diagnosis and therapy of primary small intestinal lymphomas are outlined. Various macroscopic findings and histological types comprise malignant lymphoma of the small intestine. Capsule endoscopy will provide more chances to find the small intestinal lesions associated with lymphoma. Balloon assisted endoscopy can increasingly be performed to provide histological diagnosis. Both a histological diagnosis using molecular biological methods and decisions on clinical staging with detailed explorations of the whole body are crucial for optimal therapy.
