[ Summary ] |
Chronic nonspecific multiple ulcers of the small intestine (CMUSI) is a rare entity of small bowel disease. Patients with this inflammatory disease usually experience chronic occult bleeding and symptoms of anemia. Therefore, it is an important disease in terms of ruling out differential diagnoses of hemorrhagic disease of the small intestine. In this article, we demonstrate the characteristics of CMUSI and describe methods for correct diagnosis and treatment. It is important that CMUSI be diagnosed definitively and that CMUSI be distinguished from other small bowel disease which have ulcerative lesions. |
