| [ Summary ] | Chronic nonspecific multiple ulcers of the small intestine (CNSU) is characterized by histologically nonspecific ulcers of the small intestine, as well as persistent blood and protein loss. Small-bowel radiography displays eccentric deformities and multiple stenoses. Retrograde double-balloon endoscopy (DBE) exhibits shallow and linear ulcers with discrete margins and circular or diagonal alignment. Although there have been few reports of CNSU, this disease may be diagnosed more frequently with the widespread use of DBE. | |
