Capsule endoscopy has proven to be a very accurate technique for the detection of small bowel diseases, producing improved results as compared to other imaging modalities. Balloon endoscopy is a precise histological diagnostic modality which can also be used as a therapeutic device. CT enterography is a greatly advanced technology when combined with CT scans. The combination of CT enterography, CT scans, ultrasonography, and small bowel X-rays, will provide a less invasive as well as more effective diagnostic technique for small bowel disease determination. |
