[ Summary ] It is well known that prolonged ulcerative colitis (UC) is associated with an increased risk of colorectal cancer. Nevertheless, it is difficult to detect dysplasia because of inflammation of the mucosa in UC patients. At this time, endocytoscopes (EC) enable us to observe lesions at the cellular level in vivo. We observed colitic cancer with an integrated endocytoscope. We expect that this tool will contribute to early detection and diagnosis of tumors associated with UC.
