[ Summary ] We assessed the clinical usefulness of Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) magnification in determining histological atypia and invasion depth of colorectal neoplasia. NBI magnification is useful in histological atypia and invasion depth diagnosis through the detection of thick / irregular vessels and their distribution over the lesion surface. NBI magnification may be used without chromoagents and may become a supportive method for conventional magnification with chromoagents.
