[ Summary ] The main cause of non‒variceal upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage is gastroduodenal ulcer. As the ulcer caused by Helicobacter pylori has been decreasing, the ulcer caused by anti‒thrombotic drugs has increased with the arrival of a super‒aging society. Endoscopic hemostasis is the first choice for non‒variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding and there is a variety of hemostasis methods that need to be used appropriately. It is recommended that acid secretion inhibitors be administered to stabilize the condition according to the patient's risk and severity. In accordance with the guidelines, evaluation of upper gastrointestinal bleeding and initial treatment were broadly divided into peptic ulcer and other cases, and selection of hemostasis and management after hemostasis were described.
