[ Summary ] In this paper, we have described important points that physicians should be aware of in this context and discussed the latest studies that have reviewed the treatment of familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP).
FAP is an autosomal dominant inherited disorder characterized by the growth of multiple polyps in the large intestine.
We have specifically described important points regarding genetic counseling in patients with FAP.
