[ Summary ] Drugs that inhibit acid secretion are commonly used to treat acid‒induced diseases. Histopathological and endoscopic changes are identified in the gastric mucosa of patients treated with proton pump inhibitors or postassium‒competitive acid blockers. Histopathologically, parietal cell protrusion and oxyntic gland dilatation are identified. Endoscopically, cobblestone‒like appearance of the mucosa with enlargement of fundic gland polyps is a common finding. Multiple white, flat elevated lesions, foveolar‒hyperplastic polyps, black spots, and erythema are observed.
