| [ Summary ] | Endscopy plays a central role in Japanese clinical practice. It is imperative to detect early gastric cancer and accurately diagnose tumor extension and depth before treatment. Japanese endoscopists are highly skilled, but overlooking or misdiagnosis sometimes occurs. Image enhanced endoscopy can contribute to higher accuracy in endoscopic diagnosis. Moreover, artificial intelligence has been reported to enable much more accurate endoscopic diagnosis of gastric cancer. | |
