[ Summary ] Endoscopic ultrasonography‒guided rendezvous technique (EUS‒RV) is gaining attention as a new salvage technique in biliary cannulation during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. There are three puncture sites for EUS‒RV, namely the trans‒gastric, trans‒duodenal bulb, and the trans‒duodenal ascending limb, and it is necessary to use them properly, specific to each situation. There are nearly no comparative clinical trials between the EUS‒RV and other salvage techniques currently, and standardization of EUS‒RV is still awaited. Regarding indication of the EUS‒RV, it is necessary to obtain informed consent after comparing and considering this with other methods.
