[ Summary ] Endoscopic ultrasound‒guided biliary drainage (EUS‒BD) has been recently performed as an alternative drainage technique after failed endoscopic retrograde cholangiography (ERC) related procedures. EUS‒BD is classified into four techniques ; 1) EUS‒guided choledochoduodenostomy (EUS‒CDS), 2) EUS‒guided hepaticogastrostomy (EUS‒HGS), 3) EUS‒rendezvous assited ERCP (EUS‒RV), 4) EUS‒guided antegrade stenting (EUS‒AGS). Although previous reports showed that the technical and clinical success rates were high, the rate of adverse events were not low. Therefore, it is important to consider the indication of EUS‒BD for obstructive jaundice.
