[ Summary ] |
A "clip and line" is a simple and effective traction device for traction assisted endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) in the gastrointestinal tract. We can achieve good visualization of the submucosal layer during ESD by using a "clip and line". In addition, this device can efficiently reduce the dissection time of ESD, and it enables us to achieve gastrointestinal ESD with a simple strategy. Although a conventional traction technique using "clip and line" needs the endoscope to be withdrawn to mount the system, our newly developed method -- traction‒assisted colorectal ESD using clip and line (TAC‒ESD) -- does not require withdrawal and reinsertion of the endoscope. Thus, we can easily apply "clip and line" to colorectal ESD by using the TAC‒ESD method. A "clip and line" method is useful not only for technically difficult situations but also for easy situations in ESD. |
