[ Summary ] The lumen of the esophagus is narrow, and the esophagus is located beside the aorta, heart, and lung. Thus, there are some technical difficulties in the esophageal ESD (endoscopic submucosal dissection), which is different from gastric and colorectal ESD. Compared to the gastric and colorectal ESD, the number of the esophageal ESD performed is small, and hence, it is impossible for all endoscopists to experience such difficulties and countermeasures. In the report, we described the treatment strategy and knack and point of the esophageal ESD.
