[ Summary ] Diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for lower gastrointestinal bleeding without colonic diverticulum or rectal hemorrhoids are discussed in this article. First, a differential diagnosis is performed through history taking. After evaluation of the patient's general condition, colonoscopy is performed to identify the bleeding point and extent of bleeding. Emergent endoscopic therapy, which has a higher risk than colonoscopy, can be used if necessary.
