| [ Summary ] | Esophageal cancer, pyloric cancer of the stomach, and colon cancer are the main diseases that cause malignant gastrointestinal stenosis. Drinking and smoking are the main risk factors for cancers of the esophagus. Even though infection by Helicobacter pylori is the main risk factor for stomach cancer, there is a significant influence of environmental parameters and host factors. The causes of colon cancer could be sporadic, hereditary, and colotic cancer. In this disease group, endoscopy plays an important role in diagnosis. In addition to diagnosis, endoscopy can be used for treatments such as stent mounting. After imaging evaluation, such as computed tomography, to assist in deciding the stage of a disease, it is necessary to develop a treatment strategy. | |
