[ Summary ] Several procedures of endoscopic treatment for superficial colorectal tumors have been developed recently, because of the development of equipment for endoscopy.
In such procedures, some techniques for colorectal endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) have been combined. Therefore, the names and definitions of these procedures had been confusing until the JGES published the guidelines for colorectal ESD/EMR. In this report, we have explained the details of each procedure defined in the guidelines for endoscopic treatment.
