[ Summary ] Subsequently after the development and publication of clinical practice guidelines (CPG), the process to facilitate introduction of these guidelines into practice, through dissemination and implementation, is of great importance. The published CPGs can be introduced by establishing a dissemination model through different methods including publicly accessible websites, academic scientific literatures (both Japanese and English language), digests, leaflets, conference bulletins, and mobile applications. To assess the benefit and utility of the CPG, it is important to evaluate the CPG contents in actual clinical practice (at the bedside). The use of questionnaire surveys and DPC data have also been reported. As a method to revise and improve CPGs, it is important to continuously evaluate the data collected from the Standing Committee of medical meetings and conferences. In addition, at the time of revision, the contents of previous editions should be evaluated by using AGREE II (clinical practice guidelines evaluation tool), and should be retained as one of the materials for revision.
