[ Summary ] |
All H. pylori infected patients may receive eradication treatment under the Japanese public insurance system. Therefore, diagnosis of H. pylori infection including posteradication status is important in conducting endoscopic examinations. Disappearance of RAC (regular arrangement of collecting venues) suggests lack of infection with H. pylori. Because changes in gastric findings after successful eradication are especially complicated, it is difficult to diagnose conditions occuring in eradicated mucosa. A multicenter prospective study indicated that improvements in spotty redness of the fundic glands and appearance of flat erosions in the antrum indicated significant changes post successful eradication. |
