| [ Summary ] | The side effects of H. pylori eradication therapy include loose stools, diarrhea, taste disturbances, liver function disorders, eosinophilia and uric protein imbalances. It is necessary to be careful about interactions between drugs in combination drug therapy employing eradication drugs. The long-term side effects post eradication therapy seem to be due to changes in the intragastric environment. Reflux esophagitis, Barrettʼs esophagus, Barrettʼs cancer of the esophagus and weight gain are considered to be side effects, but the relationship is unclear. Therefore, medical interviews to determine allergies and/or concomitant drug use and to explain patient side effects are important. | |
