[ Summary ] Pancreatic juice cytology using endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP) not only offers information on pathological conformation but also aids in the classification of the IPMN subtype. Peroral pancreatovideoscopy (POPS) in the assessment of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) has an important role in the differential diagnosis of malignant and benign IPMNs, and in the determination of the resection line. Characteristic POPS findings of IPMN are divided into 4 categories that are closely correlated with malignancy and IPMN subtype.
