[ Summary ] The most common subtype of lymphoma involving the duodenum is follicular lymphoma (FL). Duodnal FL is usually diagnosed without symptoms. Multiple small whitish polyps around the ampula of Vater are observed. Histologically, there are immunophenotypic and cytogenetic characteristics similar to FL involving lymph nodes (CD10+, CD20+, BCL2+, BCL2-IGH). Most patients with duodenal FL also have jejunal and/or ileal involvement as observed with capsule endoscopy or double balloon endoscopy. The prognosis for patients with duodenal FL is generally favorable. Watchful waiting or rituximab monotherapy are reasonable options for asymptomatic low-tumor burden nodular FL.
