In July 2010, the JGES board of directors established editorial and evaluational committees to oversee development of updated guidelines. The first committee meeting was convened in October 2010. Agreement was reached with other academic bodies to collaborate on the developmental process. A draft was produced and reviewed in line with feedback from a peer review committee. Final approval happened at a consensus meeting in June 2011, attended by 15 members. The team used a Delphi Answerpad to produce the consensus statements. Where consensus could not be achieved, statements were revised, and the resulting Delphi evaluations were used in the guidelines. |
