[ Summary ] The prevalence of Helicobacter pylori-negative gastric cancer is very low and the pathological characteristics are different from those observed with common gastric cancer. More than 10% of patients with early gastric cancer were sub-classified into group A in spite of the presence of corpus atrophy. Accurate evaluation of gastric cancer risk must be improved.
