[ Summary ] Interventional EUS is aggressively performed not only as a diagnostic but also as a therapeutic procedure. Recently, some kinds of EUS-guided therapy for various gastrointestinal diseases have been investigated in clinical trials and/or experimental studies. EUS-guided therapy for neoplasms has been particularly examined. EUS-guided therapy is divided into two categories, fine needle injection of ethanol, or cytoimplant and ablation using special radiofrequency devices. It may be possible to expand EUS-guided therapy as a treatment for various digestive neoplasms.
