[ Summary ] Bariatric sugery has been widely accepted in the West, where there is a high prevalence of severe obesity. Due to higher risks of adverse events in obese patients, endoscopic treatmetns have been explored as minimally invasive alternatives to surgery. An array of bariatric endoscopic treatments has been develeped and clinically evaluated. In this article, we review preliminary clinical outcomes from implementation of these technologies.
