[ Summary ] Anorectal disease is common. The symptoms include bleeding, pain, swelling, prolapse, itching and incontinence. After determining the pathophysiology and treatment techniques, it is easy to exactly diagnose the condition because the lesion can be felt by palpation and can be observed directly. However, patients feel a sense of shame and stress during anal examinations. Helping the patient to relax is very important. In addition, anal disease is usually influenced by bowel habits and feculent conditions. Appropriate forms of therapy, education and guidance are required. We must consider dietary habits and life style, including patientsʼ occupation. Suppositories should not be administered routinely.
