[ Summary ] Greater demands are being placed on risk management systems for medical practitioners. Therefore, we must establish safe and efficient endoscopy training systems for novices. At present, individual general hospitals have their own training systems. However, some training systems may not be safe.
It is necessary to unify these systems to ensure safety. There are eleven endoscopists in the Nishi-Kobe Medical Center. Seven have less than 6 years of post graduate medical school experience.
In this article, we describe our training system for the endoscopic trainees in our hospital. The importance of education for residents is also noted.
