[ Summary ] |
Toll-like receptors (TLRs)-related signaling pathways are essential for the recognition of invading pathogens. These pathways contribute not only to innate but also adaptive immunity. We found that hepatitis B e antigen could directly suppress production of interferon and cytokines such as IL6 through inhibition of those pathways in human hepatocytes. Further studies to investigate these mechanisms are now going on. |
