[ Summary ] The main complications associated with EMR or ESD for colorectal tumors are bleeding and perforations. To prevent perforations, employment of appropriate techniques and careful observation of resected ulcers are both essential. When perforation occurs in a procedure, relevant judgment for proper management, such as clipping techniques, is necessary. Unsuccessful closure with clip placement or delayed perforation after the procedure require surgical procedures immediately to prevent severe peritonitis.
