[ Summary ] There are several types of epigastric symptoms. Epigastralgi is one major epigastric symptom caused by many diseases. These include, peptic ulcers and pancreatitis, as well as functional gastrointestinal diseases. Furthermore, there are many other symptoms, including epigastralgia, post prandial satiety, early satiety and heart burn.
One of the causes of functional dyspepsia is delayed gastric emptying. Previously, gastric emptying has been evaluated with RI. However, recently, methods have been employed using the 13C test.
