[ Summary ] AIM is a safe, economical staining solution for chromo endoscopic examination. It makes it possible to determine of the presence and margins of tumors, by observing the reaction between gastric mucous and acetic acid. It greatly contributes to the discovery of tumors. It also aids in determining the margins of tumors and in diagnosing recurrence during screening, treatment and follow ups by using gastro endoscopy. At this time, it is thought that AIM may be superior to the diagnostic tools which are used for Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) and Auto Fluorescence Imaging (AFI) in terms of their utility for diagnosis with ordinary endoscopic observation. In addition, we can achieve higher diagnostic quality by combining these technologies.
