[ Summary ] A study group, the Japan Society of Sentinel Node Navigation Surgery, is conducting a multi-center prospective trial of sentinel node mapping for early gastric cancer. A dual tracer method, with blue dye and radio-active colloid and endoscopic injection is used. The results of this clinical trial should provide useful perspectives on the future direction of sentinel node navigation surgery for early gastric cancer.
