[ Summary ] Bleeding from gastric solitary varices is massive and often fatal. Cyanoacrylate, a tissue adhesive glue, is a watery substance that polymerizes instantly when it comes contact with blood. Cyanoacreylate glue injection has greatly improved hemostatic rates and outcomes for patients with bleeding gastric solitary varices. In the literature, there have been some reports of accidental embolization into the pulmonary or cerebral vasculature. Cyanoacrylate glue injection, in proper concentration and at correct injection rates should be considered for large gastric isolate varices.
