| [ Summary ] | In this review article, the importance of animals as models for NASH are discussed. The causes of steatosis and steatohepatitis include increased import / synthesis of fatty acids, impaired fatty acid , β oxidation and decreased VLDL export. Although these models do not have all the features of the clinical manifestations of NASH, they are important for the study of the pathophysiology of NASH. | |
