[ Summary ] |
There are many false positive and negative reactions associated with immunohistochemistry, which are associated with fixation and technical problems. Important points concerning immunohistochemistry are follows ; recognition of built in control cells for individual antibodies, methodology of techniques for immunohistochemistry, adaptation of suitable antibody retrieval methods and specimens, choosing good fixative specimens, and the understanding of antigen localization. It is necessary to keep in mind that pathologists may draw the wrong conclusions without accurate technical immunohistochemical knowledge. |
