[ Summary ] Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a new technique developed to achieve en-bloc resection for treatment of early gastrointestinal neoplasms. However, the incidence of complications is higher with ESD than with conventional resections. It is very important to establish a training system to make ESD safe and easy. A new training system was employed, using a beagle. We recommend that beginners gain experience with this training system before performing operations on clinical patients.
