[ Summary ] | Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) is widely used as a treatment for early gastric cancer. However, the techniques used are considered difficult for trainees. To master ESD, diagnostic techniques, therapeutic endoscopy, as well as sedative agents, respiratory and circulatory system are needed for trainees. Endoscopists who treat cancer should evaluate pathological results of ESD accurately and develop relationships with the patient and his or her family. We also reviewed ESD cases treated by trainees. There 11 ≤ cases ≤ 30 group, The complications observed were significantly higher perforation rate, and longer procedure duration. The median time was longer than in the other two groups (≤ 10, ≤ 50 experiences cases groups, respectively) In the guideline lesions. The one piece resection rate in the 11 ≤ cases ≤ 30 group was significantly lower than in the other two groups. To perform ESD by safely and accurately, trainees must perform at least thirty cases. |
