[ Summary ] |
Some types of chromoendoscopy, magnification endoscopy or narrow-band imaging have been reported to have been used to effectively survey Barrett's esophagus cases. Targeted biopsies employing magnifying chromoendoscopy may contribute to early detection of Barrett's cancer. The value of PPI and aspirin / NSAIDs in the prevention of Barrett's cancer are still under investigation world wide. There are many reports on endoscopic ablation therapy for Barrett's esophagus. Further evaluation is warranted to define optimal methods and standardize procedures for diagnosis and management of Barrett's esophagus. |
