[ Summary ] PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) is thought to be a suitable clinical procedure for use in clinical pass management. In formulating PEG clinical pass, it is necessary first to set the period and goal of the clinical pass, then to determine various items before, as well as after the PEG procedure, e.g. inspection of systemic condition, the gastrostomy, intravenous drip, injections, medications, nutritions, blood tests, etc. Individual hospitals should formulate optimum clinical pass in relation to the circumstance and characteristics of each facility. Furthermore they should improve original pass by checking variant cases. In addition, it is important to cooperate closely with the NST (nutrition support team), when producing and implementing clinical pass.
