[ Summary ] Emergency endoscopy is often done in cases of gastrointestinal bleeding. There are many treatments aimed at stopping hemorrhaging. When they are done in the lower, digestive tract or the upper digestive tract we must select the correct treatment. It is necessary to make emergency inspections of the lower, digestive tract with an endoscope and judgments on treatment may be difficult to make from what may be observed. Inflammatory bowel disease and hemorrhaging related to infectious enteritis, medicinal enteritis, and diverticula of the colon are outlined in this text.
