[ Summary ] Rectal lesions in STD's are not common. Recently, the number of patients who are HIV positive has increased in frequency, so we have sometimes found them in the rectum and anus. Cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus, condyloma acuminatum, Mycobacterium avium complex, Syphilis, amebiasis, Kaposi's sarcoma and Chlamydia were all seen at our hospital. We should be familiar with the typical endoscopic images of rectal lesions in STD's.
