[ Summary ] Non-ulcer dyspepsia (NUD) is a multifactorial condition. Recent studies, using meta-analysis have shown a lack of correlation between NUD and H. pylori infection. Thus, the usefulness of H. pylori eradication therapy for NUD has not as yet been established. However, in some groups of NUD patients, H. pylori eradication therapy has been found to be clinically effective. Therefore, H. pylori eradication therapy should be considered for the treatment of H. pylori-positive NUD patients wbo are resistant to current therapies.
