[ Summary ] The eradication of H. pylori is the new paradigm in terms of new strategies based on causal treatment for gastro-duodenal ulceration. Now, H. pylori infection and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are two major causes of ulcerative disease. Cure of this infection prevents the recurrence of gastro-duodenal ulcerations without persistent treatments for ulceration. The exact mechanism for ulcer formation, due to H. pylori infection, is still under investigation, although variations in H. pylori pathogenicity, host susceptibility, environmental factors, including foods and other interactions are affecting for the ulceration.
