[ Summary ] Type B chronic gastritis, which is the most common form of histopathologic chronic gastritis was revealed to be due to Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) infection. Various gastric diseases occur in conjunction with H.pylori-induced gastritis. We reported on a regular schedule for collecting venules (RAC) related to endoscopic findings of H.pylori-negative normal stomachs. Currently, we can diagnose histopathologic chronic gastritis with endoscopy. If endoscopists diagnose H.pylori infection during their examinations, they can develop an advanced level of endoscopic diagnosis and etiology of gastric diseases. Endoscopic diagnosis of chronic gastritis should correspond with the diagnosis of histopathologic chronic gastritis.
