[ Summary ] Treatment of patients with non-alcoholic steatohe patitis (NASH) has been specifically targeted on obesity, diabetes mellitus and hyperlipidemia. Diet and exercises have proven to be useful for treatment of these NASH associated conditions but the benefits are not consistent. Result of pilot studies on several medicines including metformin and thiazolidinediones derivatives showed that these medications could be effective for treatment of NASH.
