[ Summary ] This report describes useful examinations for early and accurate diagnosis of extrahepatic biliary tract carcinoma.
Repeated ultrasonographies are important to detect early extrahepatic biliary tract carcinoma in cases of increasing serum transaminase or gall bladder stines. Surgical treatment is the first choice for care extra hepatic bile duct carcinoma, although in unresectable cases, stenting therapy contributes to improved quality of life. Rapid and accurate diagnosis extrahepatic bile duct carcinoma improves treament results.
