[ Summary ] The complications of EST and EPBD are bleeding, perforation and acute pancreatitis. EST using wire-guided papillotome and endocut system is safer. EPBD is safer using the balloon dilator. The size of balloon is chose in 6mm or 8mm in the diameter. The dilation power is under 4 atoms. The time of dilation is 15 seconds.
The complications of endoscopic biliary drainage are acute cholangitis and pancreatitis. It is usually recovered after treatments. The occulusion and migration of the biliary stent are usually exchanged the new stent.
